LifeWatch Maritime Industry Advisory Board Meeting

Due to the Covid-19 situation, the LifeWatch Maritime Industry Advisory Board Meeting was postponed from 8 May to 25 September 2020.

On that day we will provide a well-filled program. If desired, you can join an introduction session in the morning about the use of marine observation data in the VSC environment. In the afternoon we are happy to brainstorm with you about possible use cases that can be further expanded. An agenda will be circulated soon.

We assume that we can organize a physical meeting in Ostend at the end of September. If it appears that the Covid-19 measures do not yet allow this, an online alternative will be set up.

Registration for this meeting is mandatory; please register here.

Meanwhile, we have not been idle: at the request of the Flemish Supercomputing Center (VSC), we are currently investigating how the LifeWatch data can be made available via their high-performance ICT infrastructure. Furthermore, in cooperation with the Blue Cluster, we are looking at interesting use cases for industry that are possible based on this data.

In this regard, a questionnaire about data and sensors was set up. You can find more information about this questionnaire here (in Dutch).

If you are interested, please fill in this questionnaire here (in Dutch).
