Cetacean distribution around Mayotte Island

Description
This dataset gathers 434 cetacean sightings around the Mozambique Channel island of Mayotte (France). These data were systematically collected during surveys having various objectives (small cetaceans, humpback whales). It includes 18 species, including the dugong, the humpback whale, beaked whales (2 species), sperm whales (3 species) and 11 delphinids. Effort data will be appended later.
