Abstract
A new heteromysinid genus, Platymysis, is established for P. facilis sp. nov. from coral reef sponges, corals, and sands at 16 to 44 m depth on Saba Bank west of S:. Eustatius and St. Christopher (Leeward Islands, Lesser Antilles). The species is exceptional among mysids because of its dorso-ventrally compressed body.
