Abstract
Samples realized with dredges since the end of the 19th century partially showed the richness and the originality of the Ridens, rocky shallows in the center of the Channel. Since 1982, diving investigations including sampling and photographic works helped to define benthic communities in relationship with the morphology of this rocky bank, and to find new species for the area.
