Dag van de Wetenschap - Santé Zee (cancelled)

VLIZ had to cancel all activities of 'Santé Zee'. The uncertain presence of several exhibitors and the continuing poor corona figures forced this.

This year you can physically experience the "Dag van de Wetenschap" on Sunday, November 28, 2021 (10h-17h). In this light the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) opens the doors of their Marine Station Oostend and the research vessel Simon Stevin.

During this edition, scientists will put the health of the ocean and the link with the human body in the spotlight. Experience the fit-o-meter, find out if seaweed is healthy, what sounds you hear underwater, and if the sea makes us happy. In addition to interactive stands, you can attend lectures and children can get started in one of our workshops.

LifeWatch VLIZ is part of it and will set up an interactive booth for young and old.
