Abstract
A peculiar species from the Andaman Sea is described as Phaenomenella mokenorum sp. nov. The generic placement is based on conchological characteristics of the apical whorls, sculpture and columella. The new species differs from it congeners Ph. inflata (Shikama, 1971), Ph. insulapratasensis (Okutani & Lan, 1994) and Ph. angusta Fraussen & Hadorn, 2006 by having smoother sculpture and a distinct shape.
