Abstract
First record of Vertigo substriata (Jeffreys, 1833) in Liege Province (Belgium), in High Ardenne. We report here the first observation of the Striated Whorl Snail Vertigo substriata (Jeffreys, 1833), a live specimen, in the Liege province, in forest of Xhoffraix, close to the High Fens in High Ardenne. Its rarety in Belgium and its zoogeography is discussed. High Ardenne, notably High fens, is rich in habitat adapted for V. substriata, offering a high potential of occupation for this very rare species in Belgium.
