Abstract
    The construction and operation of a diver-operated suction sampler for fauna on rocky bottoms is described. It consists of a sampling bottle is described. It consists of a sampling bottle with a 9.5mm sieve connected to a manual suction pump. The sampler is suitable for sampling sediment and smaller sessile fauna, is easy to operate, and inexpensively constructed. Several samples can be obtained during 1 dive using different sampling bottles.
