LifeWatch meeting: ENVRI-FAIR and IJI ARMS workflow - REMOTE

Due to COVID-19, this meeting is happening remotely.

The purpose of this 2-day meeting is:

  1. To advance in ENVRI FAIR WP9-WP11 activities synergies, and solve possible bottlenecks.
  2. To go over IJI Workflow #1 ARMS+ ASSEMBLE final version review & approval.
  3. To discuss other issues: Tesseracto_VRE & rest of workflows (#2 to #6) developments progress, etc.

Research data management workshop: Hands-on introductions to research data management and publication - CANCELLED

Due to the COVID-19 crisis this workshop is cancelled.

LifeWatch, DiSSCo and Elixir Belgium invite you to a hands-on two-day workshop to manage and publish research data. The workshop is organized in the context of the Empowering Biodiversity Research conference and will cover data management plans, tidy data, data cleaning, GitHub, and Zenodo. If this is jargon you always wanted to know about (but were afraid to ask), then this workshop is for you!

EMODnet Biology - Online training course on data formatting, QC and publishing

Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic and the travel restrictions, the EMODnet Biology team will provide the workshop as an online event.

The EMODnet Biology workshop on data formatting, QC & publishing is taking place from June 8th 2020. Due to the restrictions caused by the pandemic, the course was restructured and will be delivered online. The attendees will follow the course through the Ocean Teacher platform and a number of live sessions will be scheduled to address any questions  and go deeper into the topics if required.

Advancing data stewardship: insights from environmental and life science research infrastructures

Open Science and Open Data initiatives are currently high on many agendas (cfr. EOSC, FOSB). The implementation of these initiatives rely heavily on the infrastructure and services present. As such, the European Research Infrastructures (ESFRIs) play a central role in this. Many of these infrastructures offer data platforms, tools and services. However, the handling of data in different domains comes with its specific challenges.

COST-ETN First Training School on Data upload and visualisation - POSTPONED

Due to the COVID-19 crisis this training school is postponed.

The “COST-ETN First Training School on Data upload and visualisation” aims to introduce you the data portal of the European Tracking Network (ETN). During the training school you will get familiar with the different functionalities of the system and its importance. Further, the entire data flow from upload to dissemination will be examined, linking your data to the FAIR data, open access repositories and data citations.
