This data set includes the results of the sampling activities undertaken over two years (dry season 2002 and wet season 2003) during low spring tide and at five different localities along the west coast of Ceara State, Brazil. Mainly macrofauna samples were obtained, either from rocky as well from sand beaches including the mouth of two rivers. more

This data set includes the results of the sampling activities undertaken over two years (dry season 2002 and wet season 2003) during low spring tide and at five different localities along the west coast of Ceara State, Brazil. Mainly macrofauna samples were obtained, either from rocky as well from sand beaches including the mouth of two rivers. Voucher specimens are listed following the official codes - LIMCE, of LABOMAR (http://www.labomar.ufc.br/) and MZUSP, Marine Invertebrates (http://www.mz.usp.br/collab/inv_mar.html). Otherwise, the listing is a code out of the combined initial of authors’ surnames for the different chapters of the publication. The extent of taxonomy exceeds the publication.
