Abstract
    Analysis of mollusc thanatocoenoses washed ashore at Calambrone (Livorno) and observations of the catches of fishermen carried out in the Gulf of Pozzuoli (Naples) have led to the finding of three specimens (of which one was a living adult) of the lessepsian species Fulvia fragilis (Forskål in Niebuhr, 1775). These findings represent the first records for the Italian Seas.
