The dataset contains information of the size and shape of the bail-out propagules in the black coral Antipathella subpinnata. It also provides photos of the bail-out obtained with dissecting microscope, with SEM and with the compound microscope. A video describing the active movement of the bail-out propagules is also included in the dataset.
