This dataset presents survey-based data collected from individual visitors to Melnragė Beach in Klaipėda, Lithuania, within a period from the July 1 till September 6, 2024. The primary aim of the dataset is to support travel cost analyses by capturing detailed information on beachgoers' travel behavior, activity participation, and perceptions related to environmental factors, specifically algal blooms. Each record includes the respondent’s demographic characteristics (age, gender, employment, income), trip attributes (transport mode, travel time, travel cost), traveling group composition, and time spent at the beach. In addition, the dataset includes binary indicators for various recreational activities (e.g., swimming, walking, surfing), as well as self-reported experiences and behavioral responses to the presence of algal blooms.
