| Binnen de OD Natuur, is de groep Aquatic and Terrestrial Ecology (ATECO) ontstaan uit de logische versmelting van drie vroegere eenheden die binnen het KBIN onderzoek deden naar biologie en biodiversiteit: Ecologie en Beheer van de Zee (MARECO), Biodiversiteitsmonitoring en beoordeling op het land (BIOMON) en Zoetwaterbiologie (FB). Deze fusie combineert nu expertise over biodiversiteit in de drie belangrijke gebieden van de aarde: in zeewater, in zoetwater en op land. |
