D'Hondt, An-Sofie

Expertise
In January 2014, An-Sofie D'Hondt started her PhD as a joint project between the Protistology and Aquatic Ecology - and Marine Biology department. Her PhD research addresses the influence of meiobenthos, in particular nematodes, on the intertidal microphytobenthic community. Using microcosm experiments, this project aims at unraveling the relationship between nematode and MPB diversity and ecosystem functions such as primary production and EPS production.
