Description

Responses from stakeholder consultations on ecological, economic, and socio-cultural elements in coastal and marine areas across MARBEFES BBTs in Europe between February 2023 and September 2023. more

This dataset was collected during the second round of MARBEFES stakeholder consultations (February 2023 - September 2023) across BBTs located in the Gulf of Gdańsk (Poland), Belgian Dogger Bank (Belgium), Gulf of Biscay (France), Curonion lagoon (Lithuania), Gulf of Heraklion (Crete, Greece), Gulf of Finland & Archipelago Sea (Finland), Balearic Islands (Spain), Santander (Spain), Sardinia (Italy), Porsanger (Norway) and Svalbard (Norway). It contains anonymised responses from stakeholders across governance levels, sectors, and community groups. The data focus on perceived ecological, economic, and socio-cultural elements, the pressures affecting them, their interconnections, and governance responsibilities. Consultations were held in facilitated workshops using participatory workshops and structured questionnaires, contributing to development of nature-based solutions within the MARBEFES project.

Collected under the EU Horizon Europe MARBEFES project. The dataset supports Deliverables on stakeholder engagement, governance analysis for nature-based solutions.
