Description

Aggregated responses to the Baseline Assessment survey of the 22 information sites (IS) and living labs (LL) of the Blue4All project, conducted between December 2023 and February 2024, and filled by the project-associated marine protected area (MPA) managers or practitioners. The dataset is split in three parts: 1) General background part with information on the MPA, the MPA processes and the current implementation of socio-economic or ecological and environmental tools; 2) Socio-economic part with detailed questions on Governance and Social tools, Economic Valuation and Ecosystem services, and Business models and financial schemes; 3) Management of environmental aspects part with focus on the environmental reality of the MPA and surrounding area, Ecological and environmental criteria and data considered in the MPA process, The use of decision support tools for the integration and analysis of ecological and environmental data in the MPA process and information on available ecological and environmental data. Not all IS and LL answered all parts of the survey. The Baltic Sea MPA Network used a separate, condensed survey, which is attached as the last part of the dataset.
