| Abstract |
In 2008 a sluice dock in the harbour of Ostend, in use as a marina, was sampled for macroalgae on the floating pontoons, yachts hulls and other floating objects. The list is compared with an earlier inventory in 2003 of the same dock and a tidal marina in Zeebrugge. A total of 23 species was seen, as to 13 species in 2003, only 7 of them in common. Only 3 species are common between Zeebrugge (2003) and Ostend (2003 and 2008). Six species were new to the Belgian flora. |
