Beuck, L. Freiwald, A., more Abstract Acesta forteradiata spec. nov. is described from off Saint Helena, SE Atlantic Ocean. The species was recognised by José Romeo Stuardo in his doctoral thesis on Limidae and named Acesta Sanctaehelenae Stuardo, 1968. However, this name is a nomen nudum because Stuardo did not describe the species and his thesis was not published following the ICZN rules. Acesta forteradiata spec. nov. is characterised by an external sculpture of coarse radial riblets covering the full valves and plicating the relatively thin shell, a peaked umbo, and weakly inflated valves.
